StychAI is an app that boutiques and tailoring shops use to run their shop: orders, customers, measurements, invoices, payments and WhatsApp messages. This page explains what data StychAI keeps, why, which services help us run the app, and how to ask us to delete data.
Who we are
StychAI (www.stychai.com) is an app for boutiques and tailoring shops in India. It is in closed beta: boutiques join by invitation. For any question about this policy, write to us:
admin@stychai.comWhat data we keep
StychAI keeps the data that boutiques and their staff add to the app, and some data about how the app is used:
- Accounts of boutique owners and staff: name, email address or phone number, and the name and email of your Google account if you sign in with Google.
- The boutique's details and records: shop name, address, phone number, GST number, logo, bank and UPI details for invoices, stock, expenses, staff and their wages.
- The boutique's customer records: names, phone numbers, email, address, date of birth, anniversary, style preferences, notes, measurements, orders, invoices, payments and photos.
- WhatsApp messages sent and received through the WhatsApp number a boutique connects, with the photos and files in them. When an owner connects a number that also runs on the WhatsApp Business app, past chats on that phone can be brought in too, only if the owner agrees on the phone. The phone's contacts are not copied.
- How the app is used: pages opened, buttons tapped, the type of device and browser, and the IP address.
- Screen recordings of some app sessions, to find problems: Sentry records about 1 in 10 sessions and every session with an error, and PostHog may record sessions too. What you type is hidden in these recordings.
- Error reports: technical details of an error when something breaks, with the IP address.
How we use it
We use this data to:
- keep and show your boutique's orders, customers, measurements, invoices and payments
- send the WhatsApp messages you ask the app to send, such as order updates, payment reminders and offers, and emails such as invites and new-chat alerts
- run the AI features you use: what you type, the photos you add, and the boutique data a feature needs (for example sales totals for the AI assistant) are sent to Google Gemini
- find and fix errors, and see which parts of the app are used
Services that help us run StychAI
These companies process data for us:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
- Vercel: hosts the app and counts page visits
- Sentry: error reports and screen recordings of some sessions
- PostHog: usage analytics, and it may record sessions
- Resend: emails from the app
- Google Gemini: AI features
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): sending and receiving WhatsApp messages
- AiSensy: WhatsApp messages, only for a boutique that connects WhatsApp through AiSensy
- Shopify: product and stock sync, only for a boutique that connects its Shopify store
Where the data is stored
The app's servers run in Mumbai, India (Vercel).
The database, sign-in data and stored files are in Sydney, Australia (Supabase).
Error reports (Sentry) and usage analytics (PostHog) are processed in the United States. The other services above may also process data outside India.
Cookies
StychAI uses cookies to sign you in, keep you signed in and remember which boutique you chose. Your language choice is saved in your browser, and in your account when you are signed in. PostHog, the usage analytics service listed above, may also store an identifier in your browser.
WhatsApp messages and consent
Boutiques use StychAI to message their own customers on WhatsApp from the boutique's WhatsApp number. When a customer writes to that number, the message is kept in StychAI so the boutique can reply.
For each customer, the boutique records two separate choices: order updates (such as "your order is ready") and offers (such as sales and festival collections).
A customer can reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE at any time to stop offers from that boutique.
To stop order updates too, the customer can tell the boutique, which can turn them off in the app.
Boutique owners and their customers' data
A boutique owner decides which customer data to add to StychAI and is responsible for it, including having the customer's agreement before sending them WhatsApp messages.
If you are a customer of a boutique that uses StychAI, you can ask that boutique to show, correct or delete your data, or write to us:
admin@stychai.comWho can see the data
Each boutique's data is kept separate from every other boutique. Inside a boutique, the owner decides who joins and with which role, and staff see less than owners and managers.
Deleting your account and data
To delete your boutique's account and its data, the owner can email us at the address below from the email address they sign in with.
We will reply to that email.
To stop StychAI sending and receiving WhatsApp messages for your boutique, an owner can disconnect WhatsApp at any time in Settings > Integrations.
Customers of a boutique can ask the boutique, or write to us at the address below.
